Learning philosophy

Someone recently asked me what my learning philosophy was.

The question took me aback for a moment because I’ve not considered a philosophy behind what I do.

Can I describe it? I have lots of stock phrases which people connect with – nil/neutral cost, shopkeeper to engineer, etc – but they’re not really descriptions of my thinking. They’re more the shorthand of the outcomes I work to and easy ways to describe the outcomes I seek.

What is a learning philosophy? I’m guessing it’s the key tenets of my practice which I won’t compromise in my design and delivery.

I’ll have to think what they might be and get back to you.
