I was at an event last night – 4 women speakers, 50+ people in the room of which there were about 5 men.

The conversations were about leadership, the absence and gaps in modern leadership, and opportunities for women. It was a brilliant place to be and the networking and chat continued late into the night.

A question. Why can’t sessions and events like this part of the programmes in conferences?

We talk about change and making differences to create equity but are still forcing these kinds of events to be held in the basement of a bar, out of hours.

Out of sight, out of mind.

Be better.
