Waste

This aerial image shows a section of a container terminal at a port. The neatly organized, multicolored shipping containers create a mosaic of colors, while the blue-roofed structures might serve as offices or storage facilities. There are marked areas on the pavement, likely for vehicle traffic management and container organization. This is a typical sight at commercial ports, illustrating the massive scale of goods transportation in global trade.

The supply chains to supermarkets are incredibly long and there is waste and lost product at every stage of the process.

This waste, identified at picking, packing, transportation, display, etc is usually stuff which isn’t good enough to sell.

What is your supply chain in your learning offer?

What stages are you working through from ideation to delivery?

What are you doing with the offcuts and ‘waste’?
