I am incredibly lucky to do what I do.
This week I’ve had the experience of delivery, listening to a FABULOUS recording of the Women Talking About Learning podcast, and be part of two webinars.
Both the webinars were excellent; amazing co-presenters and hosts, brilliantly administered from conception to execution.
Both the webinars were about ENTIRELY different topics – AI at one end, measurement and value at the other.
This is where I’m lucky Learning and Development is a rich industry. Rich in topics to discuss, rich in people, rich in community, rich in expertise, rich in diversity.
I am deliberately challenging in things I post sometimes and that’s because I want to protect this rich tapestry of innovation, expression, and brilliance.
People don’t fear change, they fear what they lose as a result of change.
I want us to change to recognise that, if we don’t develop as a profession in partnership, thoughtfully, with a business and performance focus, we will lose this richness.
And that would be devastating.
