I have been supporting the Learning Technology awards for the last couple of weeks. This meant being available to fix Zoom problems, cover hosts, etc and meant I was tied to my desk for pretty much the whole time.

I decided last week, after the sessions were completed, to get away from my desk and go to the World of Learning event in Birmingham.

What I saw and who I spoke to didn’t matter as much as just getting away from the digital space, conversing, chatting, laughing and meeting with people in the real world.

Close the lid on the laptop and get out.
