Building a team

I’m delighted to start confirming speakers for the Podcast Learning Festival and this first group says a lot about what the festival stands for.

We were really keen that people coming get to hear from real voices who know learning, audio, and impact.

Here are four of them:

🔹 Ruth Wood – Talk That Changes Things
Leadership coach and host of the Frustrated and Exhausted podcast, Ruth helps leaders use their voice as a force for connection and influence. Her work explores how tone, presence, and authenticity shape trust – and how what we say (and how we say it) can change everything.

🔹 David James The Learning & Development Podcast
Chief Learning Officer at 360Learning and host of one of the most respected podcasts in workplace learning. David brings honest, experience-based insight on how L&D can solve real business problems and not just deliver content.

🔹 Tom McDowall Microphone Masterclass
Learning technologist, podcaster, and Head of Learning Experience at Evolve L&D. Tom’s a trusted voice in the learning audio space, known for blending tech know-how with creative sound design to make learning land.

🔹 Anne Leatherland Your Voice, the Message
Director at Vocal Intuition. Anne helps people use their voice with clarity and confidence – from everyday communication to professional speaking. Expect practical insight into how voice, breath, and tone shape how we’re heard.

They’re part of a day built around three streams: Talk. Record. Change.
We’ll be announcing more speakers and sessions over the next few weeks but this first group sets the tone.
