Yesterday was the Podcast Learning Festival, and it was brilliant.
Thank you to everyone who spoke, chaired, contributed, engaged, and took part in the conversations. It was the proudest I have felt of the learning profession in a long time.
There was a hum all day. A constant, building, room-filling hum of conversation that didn’t really stop from the moment people arrived. Conversations between people who’d never met, conversations that crossed the usual boundaries of role and sector and experience level, and conversations that probably could have been happening in our profession for years.
One of the things I hoped for was people outside of L&D ‘getting’ it. They did.
The mix in the room made it better for everyone, and watching that community form across the day was something I didn’t expect to feel quite so moved by.
The question I kept being asked wasn’t “will you do it again?”
It was “when are you doing it again?”
I’ll take that.
More reflections to follow. For now, thank you; you made it what it was.
