With added definition

You can’t support a sponsor with learning unless you share the same definition of learning. If their view of learning means ‘training courses’ and your view of learning means ‘self-directed curated opportunity’ there’s quite a bit that you need to work on before you can go any further. Start asking.

Being responsible

I read a lot about responsibility and how there’s a need for people to be responsible for their own data, security, learning, conduct, etc. I see less about people being accountable. Responsibility can be delegated and ceded. Accountability can’t. Stop taking responsibility and start being accountable. #ItStartsWithMe

I have a day off of work today. I’m still working though; personal admin, job applications, reading and notes. It is work but doesn’t feel like it because each thing has a clear purpose and I can describe how it related to my wider aims. Can your employees say the same at work?
