You know the feeling you get when you get that awful reminder you have to change your password before you can access a website, portal or resource bank. At least 8 characters, one number, one special character, one capital letter, nothing you’ve used the last 8 times.
By the time the person has had to come up with something like this for your learning resources they’ll have Googled an answer. If it’s not the answer you want them to have, tough – it’s the answer of easiest access.
If you have to protect your resources because of security, make sure that people have a reason to access them. If there’s no legitimate reason for them to be behind a password wall, take it away. Otherwise they’ll just Google their answers.
