I was talking to someone at Learning Technologies yesterday about language. It was in the lunchtime session being run by Christine Locher about values.

I mentioned to the person with me that I thought they had integrity; their view was that they were authentic.

Does language like this matter? Maybe not now but the next time they’re asked about their integrity, they’ll have a different frame of reference within which to talk about it.
