Leader? Bored.

As part of my commitment to producing nil/neutral cost content, I regularly submit photos that I think may be of interest to people on peer to peer picture sharing sites.

I got an email from one the other day (not Pixabay), encouraging me to ‘move myself’ up the leader board. Apparently, with a few more views and downloads, I’d be moving up to 15342nd place.

Motivating? Not for me, and I doubt many people would sign up to gamification like this and I’m now less likely to use that site as I don’t want to be judged as being a poor contributor.

Think about this when you’re building leader boards on your learning platforms – engage with meaning, not just because you can.
