You can deny technology has changed the world but it’s simply not true. I went to a football match last weekend via coach. There was a train strike in the UK so had to spend almost 9 hours getting there and back home.

And it was great.

As well as air conditioning and a comfortable and safe seat with a seatbelt, I had a USB charging point for my phone. I used this to keep my phone charged while I streamed live football and a film to it in HD over 5G, not disturbing anyone else with my noise cancelling earbuds in.

There will always be a place for a digital disconnect but digital is now the default, not the option.
