The F Word you need

We are often asked to make access, entry, and availability of learning content as easy as possible.

Friction matters in learning. The pressure an individual experiences on first contact with some content shouldn’t be simple; learning happens in the challenge, not the simple.

However smooth we make the entry, we need to avoid making the content itself simple and easy. The friction created from the activity we generate is where the good stuff happens. The friction is where people get stretched. The friction is where people need to take pause, review, and check their understanding.
