One of the things I enjoy most is helping pick out the right music for a new podcast. People have no opinions about the music until you ask them what style, energy, tempo, and mood they want it to be and then EVERYONE has an opinion.

The music you use will start the narrative on the podcast. Minimalist and short might be seen as fashionable, but if your sound design of the podcast isn’t at the highest level, you may appear a bit unprofessional. A pop punk tune will bring energy and your speech needs to live up to the introduction. Go corporate and go home – we can all spot the corporate track.
