Who are your peers?

I speak about peer supported learning a lot and made the assumption (as I’m prone to do) that people would understand what I meant by peers.

I saw Seth Godin was writing about peer support last week and he posted this:

“Peer” is a job title, and it’s earned. One way to earn it is by finding the others, connecting them and leading them. We spend our lives looking for peers to accept us, but in fact, we have the chance to establish the foundation for our peers to find each other.

Seth Godin

I’ve never thought about the process of finding peers – it’s always sort of just happened. The idea of finding space, people, and serendipitous collision to create sparks is a demonstration that intention matters.

How do you communicate with intent to engage peers?
