I have a new mouse and it’s a nightmare in so many ways.
- It’s bigger than my previous mouse and takes more space in my bag. I ‘know’ I spend most of my time at one desk and it’ll ease some wrist pain I get.
- It moves way quicker than the previous mouse. I’ve reduced the speed to 50% because it was so quick but it does move across my 2 large screens more quickly now.
- It has almost silent buttons so I don’t know when I’ve clicked. Which will be useful when I’m recording audio and don’t want my mouse to be heard.
I could give up and go back to the old one but I’ll persevere because I know it’ll be for my benefit in the future. Can the same be said for the learning tech implementations in your work? Do people stick with the new tech or go back to their old processes?
There’s an element of persistence with new technology which we have to recognise, confront, and mitigate.
