The long and short of it

a series of scattered letter tiles, similar to those used in word-building board games like Scrabble. Each tile has a letter and a number, which typically represents the points the letter is worth in the game. The letters in the image are arranged to form the word "WORDS", with additional letters scattered around. The photo has a narrow depth of field, focusing on the "WORDS" in the centre while the other letters are blurred out in the foreground and background. The background is a light, solid colour, providing a clean, minimalistic look that highlights the tiles.

I was reading a LinkedIn profile the other day and it was almost a novella. It was full of lists of achievements, activities, services and publications which filled the available space.

I assume what it was meant to do was highlight EVERYTHING the person had done, does, and would do.

What it did was make me feel the person was trying TOO HARD to demonstrate what they had done, does, and would do.

The empty profile has little value; the overlong profile loses value with every addition.

Find balance.
