One of the most useful surveys in L&D is Jane Hart’s annual top 10 tools for learning. In its 18th year in 2024, it’s a brilliant way to see what tools people are using and what they consider important.

You only have until Noon (BST) tomorrow to get your votes in. It’s simple – follow the information in the link in the comments and make sure your favourite tools are represented.

For those interested, here are my 10 for this year, in no particular order:

  1. WordPress – hosts blogs and websites for me with simplicity
  2. LinkedIn – my main social network now
  3. ChatGPT – I use this to create rubrics and brainstorm ideas
  4. Feedly – still the best RSS reader out there
  5. Pocket – the best content aggregator I know. It operates across all platforms and just works
  6. Kindle – the easiest way to carry a library with me
  7. PocketCasts – my favourite podcast player
  8. YouTube – I don’t use this as much as I did but it’s still good for some content
  9. Adobe Connect – probably my favourite video delivery platform
  10. Riverside – the best online studio I’ve used for podcast recording

What’s on your list? Let Jane know and share in the comments.
