The thrill of the find

Remember the excitement of discovering something new as a child?

The curiosity-driven thrill of finding a treasure in a library, stumbling upon a new hobby, or making a new friend don’t happen as we get older. So we look outside the parameters we work in and find joy from learning opportunities outside the workplace where people rediscover their youthful curiosity create an emotion we don’t get from completing a piece of training on a LMS.

Of course, we ‘need’ certain elements in place, in an order, to a standard, to establish compliance and a minimum standard of input.

But. (You knew it was coming)

We need to be better at blending.

We need to support the required with the instantaneous.

Help people discover when they want to, supply when they need help, and let people TRULY personalise, not just pick from your list of prescribed activity.
