
I saw a story recently about a town which had two barbers. One barber made a big play on doing their haircuts really cheap; they had a big sign outside which said “WE DO $7 HAIRCUTS”.
The barber on the other side of town also had a big sign outside their shop Their sign read “WE FIX $7 HAIRCUTS”.
I’m often asked what the value I bring and it’s very much the latter barbershop, not the former. What do you do as a learning function? Are you doing it cheap, fixing what’s been done badly, or something else?
