Making risotto

The image shows a plate of risotto with the text "MAKING RISOTTO" prominently overlaid in large purple letters. The risotto appears creamy and golden-brown in color, served on a white plate against what looks like a wooden table surface. There's a hint of green herbs visible as garnish.

I enjoy cooking. The act of assembling ingredients into a whole dish is incredibly satisfying. I cooked a risotto this week which takes time. An hour – almost – of slicing, preparing stock, and stirring. And stirring. So much stirring.

I could, if I wanted, add the stock in one go but it wouldn’t a) taste as good, or b) a traditional preparation. I might get in a shop bought one but it’s not going to be made to how I want it – I can’t take any ingredients out.

I can always delegate my learning approach and design out to an AI tool because it’s quicker, easier, and saves time. I can’t take anything out of it though and isn’t people’s development deserving of more than pre-packaged and bought in ready to consume?
