See you there?

I’m at the CIPD Festival of Work tomorrow, Thursday 12th June, but not doing usual conference and exhibition things.

I’m there purely to sit in sessions, listen to the speakers, and make notes – copious notes. We sat down here a couple of weeks ago and realised there were many sessions I wanted to go to. If you’re there tomorrow I might see you in some of these:

  • Future gazing – how will AI impact the labour market. I’m going to this instead of The future of learning – digital decline or AI-driven evolution. I need to hear from outside L&D on AI.
  • In conversation with Alison McGovern MP on ‘Get Britain working’. I want to understand learning and industrial strategy and the expectations of workplace learning seeing as Skills England is another shape of qualification authority.
  • Upskilling the upskillers – how is the skillset for L&D professionals evolving? I have ideas but want to broaden my thinking.
  • Addressing the skills agenda and building a future ready workforce. How future forwards are we thinking here?
  • Breaking barriers: a fireside chat with Alex Scott MBE. Who doesn’t love a good closing keynote?

If you’re there, I might see you – probably rushing from one session to another!

If you go – what did you make of the event? Let me know in the comments.
