Apprenticeships and Curveballs

Hi everyone. A few weeks ago, I put a call out for guests for women talking about learning and the response was great. So thank you very much. We are nearly there, but we still need one or two more people for a couple of episodes that we want to record this summer. And the first one is the apprenticeship one. It’s about apprenticeships in the broadest sense. So how are they being used?

what they make possible and where they’re still misunderstood. And for me at least, I’m interested in what needs to change for them to work better for employees, employers and the wider skill system. We’ve scheduled that recording, and it’s going to be on Friday the 17th of July at 2 p.m. and that’s British summertime. The second episode is the curveball one. And that’s for, as the name suggests,

stories, experiences or perspectives that don’t fit neatly into the usual L&D categories but still have something to say about learning, work, careers or professional practice. We don’t have a confirmed date for that one yet, but it’s likely to be in early August. As always these are conversations and not interviews and

We’re looking for women who are happy to bring their experience, their views, their questions and their stories into the conversation. If you’d like to take part, then please message me on LinkedIn or send us an email – hello@llarn.com. We can’t take referrals for these topics because of the short notice. So please only put yourself forward if you want to speak on them.

Places are, unfortunately, on a first-come, first-served basis. Hopefully we’ll have enough numbers to fill them. We will put a call out, though, for speakers in later July for the next tranche of topics that we want to cover. And we’ve got some cracking episodes that we want to go through if possible.

As always, thank you again for your support.
