I mentioned legends in learning recently and came across the other type of work legend the other day.
Those other work legends are the little events that happen and, through a combination of Chinese whispers, poorly recanted stories, embellishment, and misunderstanding becomes organisational stories. These stories then become a narrative to describe the way things are done around here.
Those legends have become a form of practice in the business. They have traction and gravitas. Dare you challenge them?
