Julian Stodd wrote about this a couple of months ago and it’s stuck with me. As he says, it needs a different mindset but not just individually – that needs to be a collective mindset.
Each of us will have different minimum tolerance about how collective we wish to be. That’s why Harold Jarche’s Seek Sense Share framework is so important. Seek and Sense are personal; Share is social.
Without the share, it’s meaningless as a social concept. How tolerant are you at sharing? What’s the lowest you’ll go to support a social movement. You can learn the concepts from a course, a book, a blog, a podcast. But to make it happen? It’s attitudinal and starts with you.
