Organic growth

Organic growth used to mean growing fruit and vegetables which were treated differently from the usual mass produced crops.

It now seems to mean dumping stuff on people in a workplace and expecting it will gain traction.

In both contexts there has to be someone to look over the growth, and adjust as required. In the workplace we need to stop expecting that people will do this farming for us. It needs attention and care. If not, you’re just shovelling manure and hoping things grow.
