New tech

I got a new laptop the other day so my wife would be able to work in Google Classroom more effectively with her children from the school she works at.

We powered it up, logged her in, and she was online in under 10 minutes. When I bought our first home PC – about 20 years ago – it took almost 2 hours of connecting, logging in, updating, subscribing, unsubscribing, and reading terms and conditions before we even got close to using it.

That simplicity in technology now needs to be reflected in the access you build for your learning products. Subscriptions, instructions and updates are largely unnecessary. Don’t build for the slowest – aim high and bring people UP to the design you’re creating.
