I hear from facilitators how they feel hamstrung by having to do everything online.
If they were great facilitators they’d realise they have to facilitate resources and connection not just content.

Online meetings and training events are very inclusive. They avoid travel that colleagues with caring responsibilities – children, elderly relatives and pets – find difficult or impossible. And the online session is cheap, both in terms of T&S and travelling time.
Online is here to stay, albeit with face-to-face having a place too.
Online presentation and facilitation does take thought and practice, and the professional improves with experience. It is also important beforehand to let the delegates know what you expect of them. I always issue a handout a few days before the session to elucidate what I require of them.
