Noise cancelling

I was given a pair of noise cancelling headphones for my birthday and they’re amazing technology.

They make music sound richer and fuller. External noise doesn’t get in at all, meaning I can get lost in my own little world. They’ve different features that focus the sound into my preference – concert hall, intimate studio, etc. They’re remote from my devices, meaning I can wander around with them on without being connected by the length of the cable.

They’re terrible.

I’m remote from anyone else around me, don’t overhear anything that people say and not for walking down the street with – I’d be knocked over crossing the road.

I only tend to use them when I’m in the house alone now or I become very anti-social.

Cancel noise at all costs and you will lose some of the signal.
