What grinds my gears – Twitter

Another of the semi-regular rants; this one was prompted by Nick Ribeiro.

Twitter is best as a conversation, not a broadcast channel.

Don’t sit in an echo chamber following people who reflect you – the interesting stuff happens outside your comfort zone.

If you’ve not logged in for a few weeks/days/hours, don’t binge RT everything you see.

No, you can’t slide into my DMs.

Use the reply feature properly – it doesn’t always need a reply all.

#HashtagsNeedToCapitaliseEachWord – it helps people with screen readers.

Don’t amplify the toxic people; use screenshots rather than RTs.

Subtweeting causes anxiety – it’s not healthy.
