A moment of enlightenment

I was having a chat with someone recently and we were talking through the shopkeeper to engineer approach and curation of resources.

After the conversation I realised that we get something really wrong with curation – resources do not equal learning. If you’re asked to develop learning materials and adopt a curation approach, you’re still selling. What you’re selling is a pick and mix.

Curation is more than just finding the right stuff; make sure you don’t get sucked into not delivering, calling it curation and just selling the idea of self-directed learning.
