I’m participating in the Prostate Cancer UK Run the Month campaign for October. Their ask is that I run a50 miles in October.
Prostate cancer is now the most commonly diagnosed cancer in the UK, killing one man every 45 minutes. That’s one dad, partner, brother, son, grandad, uncle or mate.
My ask is to ask you to chuck a quid or two in the pot to help me reach my total. There’s a fundraising page here that will be updated with my progress. I’ve started the donation process with a suggested amount but anything you can donate would be much appreciated.
I know I used to run a bit – various injuries have prevented me running regularly and, with lockdown weight, this won’t be easy and will need some effort. But when people you know get this awful disease, you have to do something, don’t you?
