I got a couple of things wrong over the last few days. These included scheduling blog posts at the wrong time and recording audio with the wrong microphone.
They’re not fatal errors, and easily fixed. What I don’t do is pretend they haven’t happened. Showing my working matters to me for a few reasons. Firstly, it keeps me honest. If you’re presenting a perfect world all the time, I’d guarantee it’s not perfect.
It helps remind me that I do make mistakes and someone, somewhere else, will have had the same experience and can empathise, or I might warn someone who has a subsequently similar event.
Yes quality matters, but not everything has to be ‘perfect’. Life doesn’t have an Instagram filter. #ItStartsWithMe
