The other day I realised my WhatsApp tagline says ‘on a train somewhere’. It was created pre-Covid.

I got on a couple of trains last week like we did in the ‘before times’ and it wasn’t great.

As much as the trains were quick and clean, on time and efficient, it wasn’t a great experience.

The people travelling were unmasked and acting as if the last two years hadn’t happened. I know I’m lucky to be able to be able to choose where I work and am able to choose my location around my work design, but I wouldn’t want to be commuting again, especially with the prevalence of Covid in the UK.

Having had it twice I’m REALLY not keen to have it a third time but, if my journeys were typical, I’ll be avoiding the trains for a little while yet.
