Micro storytelling

The comedian Stewart Lee said in an interview that he didn’t like people taking phones out at his gig because people recorded one or two lines which they then took out of context.

I see lots of ‘micro-learning’ around – small elements of content which, when presented in context, are really useable.

It’s impossible to get across a longer narrative with micro elements. Sometimes, longer piece of work, knitted together with context and meaning are needed to help people understand the whole.

Don’t assume either is the answer, and being able to flex dependent on the individual and not just the context, is a key skill of the learning professional.
