Old

I was researching something the other day and came across an article from 2005. The content is barely relevant now but what stood out most was how tired the website it was hosted on was.  It felt dated so I checked the homepage. On there, the business proudly announced they had been in business for 33 years.

The website looked like it was 33 years old and had never been updated – it felt like a MySpace site. This was a commercial learning provider whose website looked like it had been built in the late 80s and not updated since.

It might not be your primary channel, but make sure your web platform is reasonably up to date. If not, you’ll be perceived as tired and out of date.
