I spoke at a conference the other week. It was to support women in Governance, Risk and Compliance.

It was brilliant – loads of smart women talking about stuff in the GRC arena and I was only there as part of a panel about male allyship.

I was one of 3 men in the room in an audience of 100+ women. I felt no threat, pressure or stress being in such a significant minority.

Imagine the positions were reversed and there were 3 women at a conference of 100 men. How likely is it they would they feel the same lack of threat, pressure and stress as I did?
