It’s all basic

I regularly see posts and comments about getting the basics right, going back to basics, etc. This is especially prevalent in the realm of learning technology as people look for the next big thing® which will disrupt the market.

But what are the basics we should be going back to?

In some cases, it’s about how people learn. In others, it’s about how we communicate. In others it’s design, access, or the lowest common denominator.

It’s easy to make a call to action for the ‘basics’ to come back.

Defining the basic level you’re wanting is more complex.
