I’m always humbled and surprised when people ask me to speak about stuff in L&D. It’s an honour to be trusted with people’s time, especially now when it’s more precious than ever.
So, I’m delighted to be closing the eLID Conference 2025 next Thursday, 15th May at 4.00pm BST, with a session on proving the impact of learning.
You know, impact. That thing I’ve been banging on about for ages. The one we all say we’re focused on, but quietly sidestep when someone mutters “ROI” or dares to ask, “Did this actually make a difference?”
Too many of us are stuck in delivery mode, hoping someone else will do the measuring. This session? We’re turning that around. It’s short, sharp, and interactive – which is a polite way of saying I’ll be asking questions and expecting answers.
We’ll cover what counts, what doesn’t, and how to escape the activity hamster wheel and start having the conversations that matter. Expect a few uncomfortable truths, a handful of gifs, and – if we’re lucky – some actual clarity.
Join if you’re ready to rethink measurement and evaluation. It’s free, open to all, and the chat will be busy. Heckling encouraged.
