These are the topics which I see recommended as part of L&D development programmes.
They’ve all got some value in their approach and relevance to the people we work with.
What interests me is how many of them are REALLY used in our day to day design?
We say we’re learner-centred but are we designing for us, or the scalability of the delivery we KNOW will happen?
Do we nod to being neuroscience-informed and then just create the things we’ve always done?
I spend a LOT of time talking to L&D people trying to do good work. They ARE doing good work.
With all this noise about what modern learning ‘SHOULD’ be, are we losing sight of what modern learning ‘IS’?
