An AI expert

A blurred image of a paintbrush resting on a paint can, with the words "AN AI EXPERT" prominently displayed in large, bold yellow text.

I was in a conversation recently when someone described me as an AI expert.

I’m not and – more importantly – I don’t want to be.

The only reason it came up was because my use of LLM tools was ahead of theirs.

It reminded me of a great joke:
Apparently the Queen thought the world smelt of fresh paint because a team was always a few metres ahead, repainting everything.

That’s where some “AI experts” are.
A few steps ahead. A bit of polish. But not the whole story.

Beware the ones who smell of fresh paint.
