That was me last week. suffering with a basic cold.
I had narration to record and online sessions to run. I know I could have used an AI tool to clone my voice and generate the narration for me, but it would not have sounded as good. And it would not have carried the nuance I bring to the work.
“Technically possible” is not the same as “fit for purpose.”
AI voice tools are impressive. But narration where tone, pacing, and interpretive emphasis are the product is not a problem they solve. It is a problem they approximate.
Sometimes the right answer is to wait until you can do it properly.
