So AI is going to be the saviour of learning. Adapting and responding to individuals, it will deliver personalised support to people at the point of need.
But here’s a thing.
We already have AI, and it sometimes doesn’t work very well.
Yesterday I typed bext instead of next in a document. Word’s spellcheck suggested the following alternatives:
- best
- bet
- beat
- belt
- bent
All the above are 2 letter changes rather than the 1 which is required. And of the 1 change required, the b is next to n on the keyboard.
If AI can’t do this simple thing right, when will people trust it for more than this?
