
A blog post last week took 7 years to write. I originally drafted it in 2013 as a response to happy sheets. Something must have annoyed me in October 2013 about them, but I never got round to finding the time to complete the story.
It was, until last week, the second oldest blog post unpublished. It was also one of a group of 47 drafts.
I ran the learning clinic a couple of weeks ago and deliberately didn’t do any ‘traditional’ evaluation. Rather than write a blog post about evaluation from scratch I was sure, somewhere in my personal library of notes and bits of information, there was already something there.
Take care with what you archive; just because something seems dated, that doesn’t mean it may be irrelevant. What matters is being able to approach it and look at with fresh eyes.
