A couple of years ago, I wrote about loss and grief and how it hurt. It hurts again because we lost another of my wider network last week.

Mat was great fun to be around with a knowledge of music, HR, and rugby that was pretty unparalleled. I messaged him via Instagram on Tuesday last week and found out on Friday he’d died.

Don’t leave it too late to connect, message, check in, and see how people are.

It becomes a much tougher loss.
