Paying it forward for yourself

I was speaking with Egle Vinauskte the other week and we were discussing the fears of people putting themselves ‘out there’.

Writing, broadcasting and connecting makes more noise but makes you more visible. Just making noise would be annoying; what matters is making sure that you are basing it on a signal. This signal is what people will recognise, if not now but at some point in the future.

The phrase that Egle came up with was ‘paying it forward for yourself’. Don’t talk about investment, self-development, or personal learning; pay it forward for yourself.
