I saw a story last week that said online learning can be ‘cool’. A read through of the story, and I saw the term was being used unironically to promote learning to adults.
The content of the story was good – it had great examples of good learning practice but was being promoted under a ‘learning is fun’ banner. It used to be that learning was the parent in the relationship. Now it seems as we’re infantilising learning content with primary colours and cartoonish graphics we’re another of the children.
If this is the way you’re marketing your offer, I’d think long and hard about how your product might be perceived.
