I’ve mentioned before that integrity doesn’t have an off button. I was tested on this recently when I was offered a paid opportunity to speak. However, I would have been facilitating another man in a conversation and my requirement to break the bias for male speakers meant I had to decline.

Will that damage my business? I’d hope not.

Will I be able to live with myself? Absolutely.

Can I live with myself. Most certainly.

So the organisation has had a change of heart, has reviewed the event and changed the makeup of speakers. The panel is now balanced and the event too.
