After having been at conferences and events recently as a speaker and facilitator I’m quite looking forward to simply attending the CIPD Festival of Work as a common or garden HR and L&D person.

I’m not going to the conference although the streams seem to be entirely valid. I’m more keen to just meander around the hall, bumping into people and seeing what’s available outside of learning. As much as Learning Technologies and Learntec are great events, seeing what’s happening outside of learning can be as much – if not more – enlightening and fun.

The CIPD Festival of Work, is taking place next week on 15-16 June at Olympia, London. The exhibition features a Wellbeing Village and workshops as well as lots of providers and stands. The exhibition is free to attend and I’ll be there on day 2 – will I see you there?
