We got a new microwave a few months ago and it’s WAY better than the previous one.

Not because it’s more powerful. Not because of the size – it’s the same. Not because of the colour – it’s the same. It’s not even because of the controls, although they are a little simpler.

It’s a little thing. When the timer is up it emits 5 high pitched beeps as the old one did. However, with the new device, the beeps stop when you open the door. It was always a pain having to stand over the microwave, trying to catch it with one second to go to avoid hearing the awful noise of loud beeping. Now, a simple pull on the door and the noise stops.

Design of your learning platforms will be based on the big things – the content, the data, etc. The little design choices will be the things which people will decide if they like it or not.
